Our Gear – what makes it all work

Gear, Gear and more Gear!

We have been a gear first family as long as I can remember. Our first cross country move from Ontario to Alberta caused many challenges for the moving company – from quoting to packing and then shipping. We had well below the standard amount of furniture and “stuff” per room and an entire shed full of gear.

We are excited to have just upgraded from our old F250 + Adventure Queen set up to the world of toy haulers to give everyone a little more wiggle room:

  • Ford F350 truck – 2015 edition
  • Voltage 39 ft Toyhauler with 12.5 foot garage (feels huge yet we are still struggling to get all the toys in)

We are a Jackson kayak family  – 3 people and 7 boats:

  • Jackson Rockstar – we currently own 2 medium’s, 1 small and 1 extra-small
  • Jackson Zen – we currently own a large, a medium and a small

Due to the cold water temperatures in the Yukon, we all have kokatat dry suits for kayaking.

2001 Yamaha Kodiak 450 ATV – it serves so many purposes – and more often than not is our shuttle vehicle

We also own a broad collection of mountain bikes, skate boards, surf boards and scooters to keep us mobile and amused.
